Earlier this week, the Chicago-based collective The Nighttime Ensemble released their first recording, a 52-minute piece of “structured improvisation”, on the Longform Editions label.
It’s the perfect soundtrack for this rainy December in Berlin, when the sky remains grey all day, temperatures rarely go above 5°C/40°F, and the sun sets at 4pm.
