Another Outer Signals x Zen Sounds collaboration

After co-authoring a piece on Burial and early dubstep for his Outer Signals newsletter, I’ve rejoined forces with

Lorenzo Simonini

for a post on Italian experimental electronic music from the 1970s and 1980s.

My contribution is a paragraph on Giancarlo Toniutti’s dark ambient/industrial piece “La Mutazione”, while Lorenzo excavated two exciting records by Raul Lovisoni & Francesco Messina and Futuro Antico.

A must-read for experimental music lovers, I dare say. Make sure to follow Lorenzo’s Substack – I am learning something new from each one of his posts, and I’ve discovered some really outstanding music through him. (Ever heard of Swedish dungeon synth project Tusen År Under Jord?)
